This website was created as an alternative to recipe websites that have the author’s life story above every recipe, take forever to load due to ads, trackers, etc., and lack nutritional information. The recipes on this website satisfy one or more of the following criteria in order to be included:
- High Protein
- High Fiber
- High in micronutrient content (vitamins, minerals, etc.)
- Has a good amount of healthy fats
- High in complex carbohydrates
You’ll notice that even though it is listed as a tag, a recipe being “low” or under a certain calorie count is not a good enough criteria to be included on the website on its own. A twinkie is under 300 calories, but it has essentially zero nutritional value. Likewise, a “higher calorie” meal is not inherently bad because it has more calories, if it has appropriate nutrition (and fits your daily needs).
